Setting up EHT
How to setup EHY for my employee's payroll.
Paymate Acclaim is not setup to automatically calculate EHT. Below are instructions for setting up an EHT category.
Solution:
NOTE: Paymate Acclaim is unable to detect when to begin calculating the EHT (i.e. when the employee reaches $25,000). You will have to keep track of this manually.
Steps:
- Go to Setup > Payroll Categories.
- Select ‘ADD’, and choose ‘Payroll Tax’.
- Choose a unique Item Number.
- In description, put in EHT.
- Choose an appropriate abbreviation, or use EHT.
- Choose the appropriate province.
- Specify the applicable percentage.
