Quebec Health Tax

Setting up payroll category for the Quebec health Tax.

 

  1. Go to Setup > Payroll Categories.
  2. Click on the Add button and choose Payroll Tax.
  3. Give it a unique identification number. (EG. Earnings are 100’s, Benefits 200’s, Deductions 300’s), type in the description, and abbreviation.
  4. Select the Province. Enter Rate. (Even if your rate will be fluctuating per pay, enter it here as this will ask to default to every employee every time you change it rather than having to do it per employee every pay run.)
