Move Acclaim from one computer to another
How to move Acclaim from one computer to another.
- Install Acclaim (Follow instructions here: link)
- Once the program is installed on new computer, go to the old computer.
- Copy the .CPY folder (typically located in C:\PaymateW) to a Removable disk (e.g. USB stick).
Optional: If you wish to restore the G/L setup, copy the PMWOWNER.SBF and PMWVER.DBF files as well. - Paste the .CPY folder to the new computer's working directory (typically C:\PaymateW).
- Open Acclaim.
- See if your companies are located in the company select screen (if not, confirm you have properly transferred the .CPY files from step 3-4).
- Connect to your company.
- Go to utilities > Integrity Check.
- Run the integrity check.
