Creating a Payroll Group

When I try to create a payroll group, the "Generate Calendar" button does not get enabled.

Description:

  • When I try to create a payroll group, the "Generate Calendar" button does not get enabled.

Prerequisites:

  • Log in to the Harmony, and navigate to Payroll Setup > Payroll Groups.

Solution:

This issue can occur for several reasons, but the main reason is that required fields are not entered or are entered incorrectly. Refer to the steps below to resolve the issue.

  1. Click on the "+New" button.
  2. In the "Code" field, enter your payroll group code.
  3. In the "Name" field, enter your payroll group code.
  4. In the "Take-home salary %" field, enter your take-home salary percentage that is less than or equal to 100.
  5. In the "Proration mode" drop-down field, select your proration mode.
  6. In the "First pay period end date" field, enter your first pay period end date.
  7. In the "First pay period payment date" field, enter your first pay period payment date.
  8. Click "Generate Calendar" to generate the calendar and save your changes.
