Create, Edit, Assign, or Delete a Training Course

I am unable to Create, Edit, Assign, or Delete a new 'Training Course' successfully.

Solution:

After logging into Harmony, navigate to Human Resources  > Setup > Training.

A. Creating a Training Course: 

  1. Click the "+ New" button to initiate a new training course.
  2. Fill in the required information on the left side:
    • "Name": Name of the training course. 
    • "Type": Specify if it's a one-time event or recurring. 
    • "Start Date" and "End Date" (if one-time) or set recurrence details (if recurring). 
    • "Description": An optional description of the course. 
    • "Training Room": Assign a training room from existing options or manage rooms. 
    • "Trainer(s)": Designate trainers for the course. 
  3. In the middle of the window, specify skills acquired upon course completion:
    • Add new skills by entering their names and saving. 
    • Edit skills by clicking "Edit" next to the skill name. 
    • Delete skills using the "Delete" button. 
    • Use checkboxes to select skills taught in this course. 
  4. Provide additional details on the right side:
    • "Instructions": Optional instructions for trainees. 
    • "Allow Employees to Self-Enroll": Decide if employees can enroll themselves (may require approval). 
    • "Requires Approval After Completion": Choose if approval is necessary after course completion. 
    • "Required for All Employees": Specify if it's mandatory for all employees. 
    • "Default to New Employees": Auto-assign to new employees. 
  5. Use the "Reminders" button to send reminders to trainees.
  6. Click "Save" to save your changes.

B. Editing a Training Course: 

  1. Locate the training course in the list.
  2. Select it.
  3. Edit the necessary fields.
  4. Click "Save" to save your changes.

C. Assigning a Training Course to Employees: 

  1. Choose the training course from the list.
  2. Click "Assign."
  3. Select employees for assignment using checkboxes.
  4. Click "Assign" to confirm.

D. Deleting a Training Course: 

  1. Ensure there are no records associated with the training course. 
  2. Find the training course in the list. 
  3. Click "Delete" and confirm the deletion. 

If you accidentally delete a training course, you can recreate it manually. This process helps you effectively manage and track training courses and employee skill development in Harmony HR.
